Manchester United transfer news: Nani and Valencia in swap deal; Porto end Mangala hopes?

A select round-up of transfer news relating to Manchester United

Seemingly not content with having two number 10s – in the form of Wayne Rooney and Shinji Kagawa – Manchester United have been linked with a move for Galatasaray’s Wesley Sneijder.

The Express picks up on reports from Turkey claiming David Moyes will offer both Nani and Antonio Valencia in exchange for a player who has long been linked with a switch to Old Trafford.

If just Nani was being mentioned, this would be a tad more believable. After all, the Portuguese winger has reportedly attracted interest from the Turkish giants in the past.

However, Antonio Valencia has played his way back into the form that once saw him hailed as the best winger in the Premier League, and any move away from the champions makes little sense at this stage.

In other transfer news, reported United target Eliaquim Mangala is said to be on the verge of being offered a new deal at current club FC Porto.

The Frenchman has been linked with a host of clubs both in England and elsewhere, but the Metro claims Mangala’s club are desperate to keep him and will significantly increase his current wages in an attempt to do just that.

They may also want to remove his £40million release-clause, just to be on the safe side.
