News, views and rumours relating to Manchester United in the past 24 hours.

Manchester United take on Everton at Old Trafford on Wednesday evening.

In team news, Marouane Fellaini could step up to face his former club whilst Phil Jones is suspended and Michael Carrick remained out with an Achilles injury.

The early predicted line-up for the clash is:

De Gea; Smalling, Vidic, Evans, Evra; Fellaini, Giggs; Valencia, Kagawa, Young; Rooney.

Robin van Persie ‘has a chance’ of recovering in time to face the Toffees after his groin injury.

United boss and former Everton man David Moyes is ‘unmoved by nostalgia’ ahead of the clash with his former club.

"I had a great time at Everton," Moyes said.

"It was a great club for me at the time in my career when I left Preston North End. They were fabulous to me. They gave me a chance to succeed at the club the best I could.”

"[But] I don't think it's any advantage that I know the players. They have a new manager there and he's brought in his own players as well,” he added.

In transfer news, United are in ‘no rush’ to forward contract talks with Wayne Rooney, despite the England star’s contract expiring in 2015. According to The Telegraph, the club are keen to sign Leighton Baines, Ander Herrera and Ilkay Gundogan in January and are prepared to wait to continue their negotiations with Rooney.

Wayne Rooney has been voted Player of the Month for November by United fans via the club’s official website.

In other news, United youngster Adnan Januzaj has been shortlisted for the BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year award for 2013.
