Costa Rican 21-year-old with sensational wondergoal at the weekend…
Olympiacos have an emerging star in Joel Campbell as the 21-year-old, on loan from parent club Arsenal, is fast becoming responsible for either scoring a goal or returning an assist at least once every match.
In 11 Greek Super League appearances, Campbell has returned four goals and eight assists, a striking efficiency rate of one every 57 minutes, and his latest effort - struck against Ergotelis during the club's 3-0 win on Sunday, December 1 - is in keeping with his reputation as a scorer of great goals.
Since switching to Arsenal in 2011, Campbell has had a hat-trick of loan moves, to Lorient for a season then Real Betis for a year (both because of work permit issues) and then, despite an application for work permit was successful, he was sent to Olympiacos earlier this year for another season-long spell away from Emirates Stadium.
This season is swiftly becoming his most prolific, however, and just six weeks ago he provided an astonishing four assists in a single match.
