In-form midfielder Aaron Ramsey scored twice in the north Londoners’ 3-0 win over Cardiff on Saturday, and the club’s manager has been singing his praise.
Aaron Ramsey put in another star performance in Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Cardiff on Saturday, with the Wales international grabbing two goals against his former side.
Despite the box-to-box midfielder’s eye for goal this term, his all-round performance, endless energy and tireless work-rate have had the football community waxing lyrical about his showings.
Arsene Wenger has admitted that he is delighted with Ramsey’s progress. When asked whether he would consider selling the star, even for a fee as big as £50 million, the French coach stated he would refuse any offers.
"No. We don't want to sell anybody; we want to keep the team together. I've suffered enough for years for having to sell the players,” Wenger stated.
"Now we are in a stronger position financially."
The Arsenal boss also stated that the best is still to come from Ramsey, and that the player can mature and improve even further.
"He keeps surprising me. He has matured as a player and a person as well,” Wenger continued.
“We came here in the FA Cup a few years ago and he had a very difficult game. Now he shows how much he has developed as a person.
"I was a midfielder and I would have loved to have what he has.
"He can defend, attack and score goals. What more do you want? He is also young - another quality that I have lost.
"He can still develop. When you see the improvement in him in the last two years then why should he stop now?
"There's more to come. If he continues to play like that then he will have a good future with Wales."
