On the 30th November 2012 what were the stories that dominated the football landscape? Including Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur

I am casting my eye back to this exact day, the 30th November 2013, but a year earlier.

What were the main tales from that day? What big events were happening in Premier League football?

Here are some of the big scoops from the 30th November 2012…

Fans have the Arse

On this day last year the plans were revealed for a protest at Arsenal that would be 1,000 people strong - to outline their frustrations at the club.

Fans unhappy with the lack of funding put back into the team and distinct lack of silverware for the past seven years were also unhappy at apparently not being kept in the loop about affairs at the club.

A spokesman for one protest group involved stated:

"Most Arsenal fans realise that there's something wrong at the club. What divides opinion is who is responsible.”

A year later and those issues were addressed by the signature of Mesut Ozil - and now Arsenal sit four points clear at the top of the table.

I’m Lewand-off-ski

Robert Lewandowski had apparently agreed to join Manchester United. The Borussia Dortmund striker was on his way to Old Trafford according to an exclusive brought to us by The Daily Mail.

The Poland striker reportedly indicated to friends that he wished to leave Dortmund in the summer and that Old Trafford was his preferred destination.

A year down the line and Lewandowski is still at Dortmund and expected to join Bayern Munich for free next summer.

Luka over here

Luka Modric was telling Gareth Bale to come and join him at Real Madrid. The Croatian, who made the same switch stated:

"It would be amazing for Gareth to come and play for Real Madrid. I play with Ronaldo here at Real and the way he just runs with the ball with such confidence and defenders back off him is exactly the same as Gareth. To have the both in the same team would be unstoppable.”

This incensed AVB who told the former Tottenham favourite to worry about playing for Real Madrid and not his star player.

Bale did join Real Madrid this summer past for a world record fee.
