There have been regular reports over the last month that Manchester United are preparing an offer for Miralem Pjanic, who has been one of the stars of Roma's spectacular start to the Serie A season, but he insists transfer gossip isn't on his mind.
The latest suggestion from the Manchester Evening News is that United may use Javier Hernandez as bait in a part-exchange deal.
But Roma have always insisted that Pjanic is going nowhere as they attempt to remain contenders in the Scudetto race despite three consecutive draws in games they would have expected to win.
The Giallorossi are looking to tie Pjanic down to a longer-term contract as his current deal expires in June 2015 and it seems they are close to succeeding.
"It's nice to hear that someone is interested in me, but I don't listen to rumours," Pjanic told VoceGiallorossa.it.
"I just want to dedicate myself completely to what happens on the pitch at Roma and continuing our good form.
"I'm happy here - they respect me and have faith in me. We are talking and negotiating a contract renewal and it will be announced as soon as it is agreed."
