According to an on-going poll, the vast majority of Tottenham Hotspur fans back under pressure boss Andre Villas-Boas to succeed.
Following Spurs’ 6-0 defeat to Manchester City last weekend, speculation over the future of manager Andre Villas-Boas has ensued with a number of potential replacements being suggested in the media.
However, whilst the likes of Glenn Hoddle, David Ginola, Harry Redknapp, Michael Laudrup, and Mauricio Pochettino have been linked with the Tottenham job in the past week, it appears the majority of Spurs fans are backing the current boss, according to fan website Tottenham Live.
The midweek Europa League victory over Tromso will have improved the relations between the Portuguese coach and the fans, Spurs host Premier League champions Manchester United this Sunday as they hope to reassert themselves over the title race.
The fixture is a good opportunity for Tottenham to respond to last weekend’s disappointing defeat, which the manager described as ‘embarrassing’ and ‘shameful’.
The manager also insisted in his press conference this week ahead of the Europa League clash with Tromso that he is ‘immune’ to criticism and, judging by the result of the fan poll so far, he needn’t be concerned over his future just yet.
