'If this isn't racism, I don't know what is' - Arsenal star abused on Facebook

Szczesny Training

Wojciech Szczesny has been trolled on Facebook with racist comments and his reserved response has earned many plaudits.

Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is certainly not the shy and retiring type. He is often seen getting involved on Arsenal.com and his official Facebook account - as his obvious confident demeanour bubbles to the fore.

But he has been making the headlines for his performances on the pitch this season. After a difficult 2012-13 the Polish stopper has recovered to find the best form of his career so far - and has even seen Arsene Wenger dub him a potential club legend in the future.

The 23-year-old stopper has recently signed a new contract - so there is every need for him to be in high spirits at the moment.

However it seems for some his success just makes him a more susceptible target to vile and abhorrent trolling - on the most recent occasion of a racist nature.

A troll posted on his wall a shocking and uncalled for tirade, which contained some especially crude language - including outright racist overtones … saying:

Polish immigrant c***

F*** off back to your third world country

Your from the gutter of Europe

Now other than this moron not being able to successfully punctuate you’re - the entire statement is rather sickening to read.

Szczesny however decided to respond to the abuse by asking his fans to report the man to the police - stating on his page:

“Can't be bothered reporting this man to the police. Would anyone like to do it for me? Cause if this isn't racism, then I don't know what is...”

Now I won’t pick holes in the grammar and punctuation of Szczesny’s - after all, English is his second language but I felt this was a brilliant and reserved response to the abuse - a response which has received much support on the social networking site with over 4,000 likes and 1,000 positive comments.
