Chelsea have a throng of talented young players out on loan at the moment but last night represented a rare opportunity for Chelsea fans to take a look at one of them.
Thorgan Hazard, the younger brother of Eden, was in action for his loan side Zulte Waregem at the DW Stadium against Wigan Athletic on English television.
Now Chelsea fans have heard plenty about the attacking midfielder - how he is the most effective player in Europe, better than his older brother and destined for the Belgian Golden Shoe.
But this was a chance for them to actually feast their eyes on the player.
So what did they think?
Well he scored first of all - which is always good.
The attacking midfielder smashed home a strike from just inside the box - which was dropped into his own net by the recently impressive Wigan stopper Liam Nicholls.
His overall performance however was quite impressive. He was the travelling sides best player and was very influential - with 88 touches and a 75% passing accuracy.
But perhaps most impressive was ability to get a shot off. He managed to have seven shots against Wigan - as he floated across the attacking midfield position with ease.
He has also created more chances than anyone else in the Europa League this term - so his talents are well known.
He was also happy to run with the ball at his feet - perhaps something that runs in the family considering his brothers propensity to do the same.
Hazard’s performance was impressive - but is it good enough for him to become a regular for Chelsea already?
Perhaps not, in fact the player himself recently recognised that moving back to Chelsea might not be the best idea next season - citing the example of Kevin De Bruyne, who is struggling for first-team football at Chelsea after a loan spell at Werder Bremen.
Perhaps another year out on loan - in the Bundesliga or Premier League, a step up from the Belgian Pro League would offer him the opportunity to prove his worth to Jose Mourinho.
As for Chelsea fans, what did they think of Hazard’s performance last night …
