The on-loan Chelsea midfielder has found first team chances hard to come by in Spain, having only appeared in 1 La Liga match this season for Valencia.
The 22-year-old deep lying midfielder did make the starting 11 against Premier League Swansea at the Liberty stadium, making the most of his chance.
Revenge was high on the agenda for Valencia, who still have nightmares from when Swansea City tore them apart on their own backyard 3-0. It was Swansea that tried to impose their normal game on Valencia but came up against a determined Romeu, who was in the mood to impress.
The Spanish centre midfielder put himself all over the pitch for Valencia and without him, the game would have been a different story.
Statistically it's easy to see why the Chelsea man was named MOTM for Valencia.
Pass accuracy: 91%
Aerial duals won: 8

The good performance will be welcome news to Chelsea fans, and hopefully it means the player can go on to have a run in the first team and prove himself further after the stellar performance.
What did you make of his performance, has he still got a future at Chelsea?
