10 interesting Premier League stats - Chelsea, Fellaini, Mirallas feature

Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, Sunderland, Norwich City, Everton, and Southampton all feature.

1 – Norwich City have scored a league-low 1 goal in the first half of their 12 Premier League matches this season. Jonny Howson's first half strike at Stoke City in September is the only time the Canaries have had to celebrate a goal in the opening 45 minutes of games.

1 – Sunderland have picked up the fewest points (1) on their travels this season and are the only Premier League side without a win on the road to date. The Black Cats picked up a point in their first away game of the season at Southampton, but since then have lost 5 straight, scoring just once and conceding 13 during this run. Gus Poyet will be looking to stop the rot when they travel to Aston Villa on Saturday.

3 – Southampton have conceded in each of their last 3 Premier League matches after starting the season with 6 clean sheets in their opening 9 games. Last weekend saw the Saints concede 2 goals in a single game for the first time this season when they were beaten 2-0 at Arsenal. It doesn't get any easy for Mauricio Pochettino's side who go to Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

4 – Arsenal will be playing their fourth consecutive away Premier League game that immediately follows a Champions League match. After winning their opening group game versus Olympique Marseille, Arsène Wenger's side had a home Premier League tie with Stoke City. After their next three Champions League fixtures, Arsenal have had to travel to West Bromwich Albion, Crystal Palace and Manchester United. Following their victory over Marseille midweek, Arsenal travel to Cardiff City on Saturday. And after their final Champions League group match against Napoli in December, they are poised for a trip to Manchester City. Luck of the draw?

4 – Sunderland have been shown 4 red cards in their 12 Premier League matches this season. Despite all the dismissals, only Crystal Palace 912) have received fewer red cards than the Black Cats (13). Sunderland are on pace to break the single season record for highest number of red cards, currently shared between themselves (2009-10) and Queens Park Rangers (2012-13) at 9.

5 – Chelsea have picked up just 5 points from their five matches against sides currently in the top half. Their only victory against a current top half side came courtesy of a late Joe Hart howler in a 2-1 victory over Manchester City. The Blues have drawn 0-0 at Manchester United, 1-1 at Tottenham Hotspur, lost 1-0 at Everton and 2-0 at Newcastle.

6 – Marouane Fellaini has failed to win in any of his 6 Premier League starts this season. The big summer signing at Old Trafford drew all 3 of his starts with Everton in August before moving to Manchester United. Since then he has drawn 2 and lost 1 of his Premier League starts under David Moyes this season.

9 – Manchester United have gone 9 Premier League away games in a row without a clean sheet since a 2-0 win at Stoke City in April. The Red Devils travel to White Hart Lane on Sunday for the first of three televised Premier League games.

10 – Everton's Kevin Mirallas has been substituted in 10 of his 12 Premier League starts this season. No other player has been taken off the field on more occasions than the Belgian forward so far this season.

52 – Ryan Giggs' appearance at the Cardiff City Stadium last weekend means that the Manchester United legend has now played at 52 of the 53 stadiums to host a Premier League game. The former Wales international never played at Sunderland's former stadium Roker Park, when the Black Cats beat Manchester United 2-1 back in 1997, before moving to the Stadium of Light.
