Inter's new owner Erick Thohir is expected to open his wallet in January with Sportmediaset insisting the primary targets are Premier League players.
It hasn't been the greatest of starts to the season for the Nerazzurri and they will need to galvanise their squad if they are to stay in the Scudetto hunt.
Indonesian investor Thohir is part of a group that have taken over the majority stake in Inter from long-serving President Massimo Moratti.
Reports suggest that Thohir is ready to provide coach Walter Mazzarri with whatever funds he needs to strengthen the squad to his liking.
Osvaldo, who made his name at Roma but has also played for Atalanta, Lecce, Fiorentina and Bologna in Serie A, is currently struggling to settle on the South Coast and has been tipped to return to Italy.
Meanwhile, Dzeko remains peripheral at Man City and is said to be looking for a fresh challenge.
Sportmediaset believes that Thohir will make around £15m available to spend in the New Year and that such a sum will be sufficient to make the double swoop, which it describes as a 'gift' to Mazzarri.
