Spur's misfiring Spanish striker displayed an outrageous piece of skill against Tromso on Thursday night
It was the same disappointing news for Spurs fans. Roberto Soldado had again failed to net for their team, and this was despite playing against a team so bad they have just been relegated from the Norwegian Premier League.
But if there was any doubt about the Spanish international's class, touches such as the one below should encourage the White Hart Lane faithful not to give up in him too soon.
The striker stopped the ball on the byline as he waited for teammates to arrive in the box, but he then dragged it back and flicked the ball past Polish centre back Jaroslaw Fojut, and with the Tromso defender not sure which way to look let alone turn, Soldado slipped behind him running onto his own classy touch.
How Soldado must wish he was the one waiting in the box after such an outstanding piece of skill.
