Barcelona have a slight Catch-22 situation when it comes to their famed scouting ability and the development of their young talents in La Masia.
Sure many come through the ranks to become club legends but other big players in world football are acutely ware if this fact - Arsenal in particular.
The Gunners have raided Barca for many young talents over the years - including the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Jon Toral, Hector Bellerin and Jose Plezeguelo.
It is fair to say that Barca must be slightly peeved with the way the Gunners seem to ‘steal’ their top talents.
And another could be on his way.
Paraguayan 17-year-old Antonio ‘Tonny’ Sanabria has seen his name linked with several teams recently - as the highly talented forward looks unlikely to break into the Barca first-team anytime soon despite his obvious talents.
Roma and Arsenal have been linked - while Liverpool and Manchester City are also being linked with his signature.
His recent good form has seen him earn his first international caps for Paraguay at his tender age - so there is obviously an abundance of talent this player possesses.
Today, Spanish reports suggest Arsenal have taken the lead in the race to sign him.
According to Mundo Deportivo the Gunners already have meetings scheduled with his representative Raul Verdu. Arsene Wenger is said to be committed to bringing in Sanabria, who he must see as a future star of the first team.
The report suggest that ‘London beckons’ and that Sanabria is open to a move - where he might be more likely to play first-team football.
Here he is in action…
