Liverpool and Tottenham target Berisha speaks on interest and confirms offers

Swedish starlet Valmir Berisha has revealed he has had offers from four British clubs including Liverpool, Sunderland and Tottenham Hotspur.

The Sweden U17’s striker is currently learning his trade with Halmstads BK in his homeland but following his sensational performance in the U17 World Cup this year, Berisha has had a number offers with Premier League beckoning.

The striker, who had developed initially as a midfielder for Sweden, scored 7 goals in 7 games at the U17 World Cup in which Sweden won the Bronze behind Nigeria with Berisha named the top scorer of the tournament.

"I have got offers from everywhere, from England, Italy, Spain, Germany, Holland and Russia. There are some options," he told Aftonbladet.

"The clubs who have shown the biggest interest are Ajax, Milan, Liverpool, Sunderland, Tottenham and Celtic.”

"They have all offered me contracts. But it is a matter of choosing the right one, that is the most important," he added.

At 17, he is in the process of agreeing his first professional contract, which, at present, looks unlikely to be signed with Halmstads BK – the youngster has numerous of enticing opportunities to move abroad to Holland, Italy, England and Scotland where he could make a name for himself as the heir to the throne of Zlatan Ibrahimovich.

Of course, the decisive factor for any youngster is whether he will be granted opportunities to play on a regular basis to gain access to first-team top-flight football in the next few years of his career. The likes of Ajax, Liverpool and Tottenham have fantastic facilities for their academy youngsters as well a track record of giving youth a chance.

"I want to join a club who need a striker." Berisha explained.

"Then I can exploit that to get playing time. I don't think I will join a very big club. My agent has give me suggestions, but he lets me decide."

Presently Liverpool have the most dangerous and efficient strike-force in the Premier League with Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge. Spurs are rumoured to be parting ways with Jermaine Defoe in January with Roberto Soldado only having just signed this summer and Emmanuel Adebayor’s future uncertain.
