Arsene Wenger said this morning there was 'more to come' from Mesut Ozil, a fearful message for the rest of Europe.
However he began his first match following those comments in not so great form, missing a penalty against Marseille which could have made the scoreline 2-0.
It prompted a deluge of comments from Manchester United fans on Twitter who claimed, tongue in cheek perhaps, that the £42.4 million man has not been the same since coming up against midfield destroyer Phil Jones.
Jones helped keep Ozil quiet in a 1-0 victory for United, although it was later claimed the German was ill in the lead-up to and aftermath of the fixture.
