What we can learn from Liverpool's next three Premier League games

Giant Anfield Flag

Liverpool kick off December with a trip to the KC Stadium to face Hull City before welcoming Norwich City and West Ham United to Anfield…

Liverpool are entering a massive month in their season as they look to keep up their challenge of a top four place.

With it being a rather hotly contested part of the table – with four points separating Liverpool in second and Tottenham Hotspur in ninth – slip ups are likely to be punished.

December means Liverpool have three eye-catching away fixtures with trips to Tottenham, Manchester City and Chelsea over the Christmas period and within the space of two weeks.

This makes the three games starting the month absolutely essential for the Reds to carry momentum into a difficult set of fixtures.

They start the month with an away trip to Hull City, before welcoming Norwich City and West Ham United to Anfield – all within a week.

Hull, Premier League new boys, have made a decent start to the season but suffered a loss to Crystal Palace at the KC Stadium at the weekend – whilst both Norwich and West Ham have both been struggling for good form and consistency this season.

In all three of these games Liverpool will be odds on favourites – and in the past few seasons it wouldn’t have been such a surprise if Liverpool dropped points, ultimately allowing them to lose ground on the side vying for the Champions League places.

If Liverpool were to win three on the bounce starting from Sunday, that will be one of the more true signs of progress from the Reds this season – and with some of the sides around them playing each other, could put them in a healthy looking position going into their most difficult part of the month.
