Match to be played on Tuesday 26th November 2013 at 19:45. Venue: Celtic Park, Glasgow.
Celtic face a huge task on Tuesday night to keep their Champions League ambitions alive. A loss to AC Milan would end their hopes of progressing to the knockout stage, but a win could possibly see them jump ahead of both Ajax and AC Milan in the standings.
Celtic will be looking to make changes to the side that disposed of Aberdeen 3:1 on Saturday afternoon. The biggest question for Celtic will be who starts out of the goalscorers from that game, Boerrigter or Commons.
We predict that Celtic will line up like this:
Mikael Lustig - Efe Ambrose - Virgil Van Dijk - Emilio Izaguirre
Beram Kayal - Joe Ledley - Charlie Mulgrew
James Forrest -- Georgios Samaras -- Kris Commons
Analysis: 3 changes to the side that played against Aberdeen at the weekend, and just 1 change to the last Celtic side to play in the Champions League against Ajax.
We expect Mansfield born winger Kris Commons to get the nod over former Ajax midfielder Derk Boerrigter for their all-important home game against a strong Milan side. The former Derby County midfielder has proved previously that he can be the man for the big occasion, having scored the dramatic late winning penalty to put Celtic through to the last 16 last season. Manager Neil Lennon will need his 'big match' players on the field just in case such an incident arises.
Joe Ledley is likely to be the man to replace suspended skipper Scott Brown in the heart of the midfielder and will have to be at his very, very best in what is the biggest match for Celtic this season.
Do you agree with our line-up? if not, who would you play?
