1): Murat Yakin V Jose Mourinho
The young Swiss manager once again goes head to head with Jose Mourinho in the Champions League, after ending Chelsea's 29 games without defeat record in September. The Portuguese manager will have revenge on his mind come Tuesday's game, where he could secure his side's qualification and hugely dent their oppositions.
2): Valentin Stocker V Branislav Ivanovic
The 24-year-old midfielder has racked up 4 goals in 15 games this season, and is considered one of Switzerland's brightest talents. Branislav Ivanovic may be considered the heavy favourite for this personal battle, but he will need to keep a keen eye on his man if he is to come out on top.
3): Fabian Schar V Fernando Torres
Fernando Torres could possibly return to fitness and the starting 11 in time for the Basel game, so he will be the one going head to head with the young defender Fabian Schar. The 21-year-old centre-half has been previously linked with mega-money moves to the likes of Arsenal and Inter Milan so will be no push over for the Spanish striker.
4): Fabian Frei V Oscar
Another one of Switzerland's top young talents could be implemented in a defensive central role to combat the ability of Brazil's Oscar. The Brazilian has been in fine form this season, with 6 goals in his 16 games. If Basel are to come away from the game with any chance of all 3 points, they will need to nullify Chelsea's influential attacking midfielder.
5): Marco Streller V John Terry
The last battle in the game will be between Chelsea's captain and a man that has already took 3 points off Chelsea in this Champions League competition. The 32-year-old created problems for Gary Cahill and David Luiz in his first match against Jose Mourinho's men and scored the winner at Stamford Bridge. John Terry is likely to start the game and be the man to reduce the tall striker's impact on the game.
Who do you think will win the key battles on Tuesday night? Can Basel cause another upset, or will Chelsea storm through to the last 16?
