The renowned and outspoken Gunner supporter was asked what he thinks is wrong with Spurs.
Despite spending the entirety of the expected Gareth Bale transfer money on an abundence of European talent earlier in the summer, Tottenham Hotspur have collectively returned less than a goal per game in Premier League competition with just nine strikes after 12 match-days.
Their 6-0 mauling suffered at the superb and technical feet of Manchester City's star players was no doubt their worst day at the office and, while it was a sore subject for Spurs supporters, it brought glee to a number of Arsenal stars, as well as Gunners fans, such as Piers Morgan.
The City result aside, Tottenham's defence has been fairly stubborn, yet it is their attack which seems to require the most bolstering when the winter window reopens, unless manager Andre Villas-Boas shuffles his deck, reorganises his formation and introduces Emmanuel Adebayor as a permanent fixture to his starting XI.
Arsenal, in contrast, appear more settled, are playing football to a higher aesthetic standard, are yielding results and are standing strong at the head of the table.
Considering the stark contrast in the rival clubs' fortunes, how would Piers Morgan alter the goings-on at Tottenham?
Well, the answer is, he probably wouldn't, as the ardent Arsenal fan is probably enjoying the demise of a side regarded to have an outside chance of Premier League title contention as, when asked what is wrong with Spurs he gave a handy, one-word answer…
