Europa League qualification and a cemented place in the top half of the Premier League awaits for Michael Laudrup's side.
After a slightly hit and miss start to the season for the Welsh club including defeat to bitter rivals Cardiff, they are set to end the year in a very good position. Here are the five games that will determine whether it'll happen.
Valencia (H) 28th November – The Europa League is first call of priority this week. The Swans have already gone to the Mestalla and won 3-0 so will believe they can win again at the Liberty. Victory will see them qualify for the knockout stages and give them a great chance of topping the group.
Newcastle (H) 4th December – After travelling to fortress Etihad to take on Manchester City, Alan Pardew’s in-form Magpies travel to Wales. Laudrup’s side have only lost once in four Premier League meetings so will fancy their chances of getting a positive result once again.
Hull (H) 9th December – This should be a home win. Hull have had a good start to life back in the top flight but suffered defeat at home to Crystal Palace on Saturday and aren’t great on the road. Laudrup would be disappointed if they don’t get three points here.
Norwich (A) 15th December – Chris Hughton’s side are struggling in the bottom six at the moment and could be in further trouble by the time Laudrup’s men turn up at Carrow Road. A very winnable game for the visitors.
Everton (H) 22nd December – The last game before Christmas should be a fantastic game to watch as former Swans captain and manager Roberto Martinez returns with his new club. Both managers are known for very stylish football so this should be a great watch for the purists. Tough to pick a winner.
