VIDEO: Not good enough for Chelsea, striker scores in Germany

Former Premier League player with the Blues and Wigan Athletic grabs first league goal for Werder Bremen in Bundesliga defeat.

For all the talent that's left the Premier League over the years, one man who is not missed is Franco di Santo.

16 substitute appearances for Chelsea. 97 games in a Wigan shirt. 13 goals to show for it, most of those via deflections. A disappointing five years in England to say the least.

He now resides in Germany after being snapped up on a free transfer by Werder Bremen and scored his first for the club in today's 3-2 home defeat to Mainz.

It comes after being sent off in his previous outing against Frankfurt. "That sounds more like him", I hear you say.

His goal will probably become a collector's item and can be seen in the video below.
