Does Balotelli's cryptic tweet open Chelsea door?

AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli missed a penalty against Genoa last night and left pundits scratching their heads with a mysterious tweet.

The Italian media are speculating as to the meaning of a tweet by AC Milan marksman Mario Balotelli after a miserable evening against Genoa.

Balotelli missed a penalty as the Rossoneri again failed to win and were greeted with angry protests from their fans.

Super Mario, who has failed to impress this season at San Siro, was one of the players singled out by fans for abuse.

There have been repeated rumours that Balotelli will leave Milan, possibly to head to Chelsea where he could link up with former boss Jose Mourinho.

And a cryptic tweet from Balotelli's account this afternoon has caused a flurry of speculation as to his future.

After more than a month of Twitter silence, the Italian international simply posted: 'This is the end :-)'

Whether this is Balotelli foreshadowing the end of his time at Milan remains to be seen, but it has certainly set tongues wagging.

The past week has seen transfer rumours quieten down after Jose Mourinho insisted Balotelli would stay at Milan and Rossoneri Vice-President Adriano Galliani has always insisted no move is forthcoming.
