Arsenal star believes Manchester United didn't deserve three points

Aaron Ramsey praised former club Cardiff City via Twitter.

Manchester United fans were certainly disappointed to see their side concede a late equaliser against Cardiff City

The home fans were joined in jubilation by Arsenal supporters, who gained more ground on the champions as a result of the Red Devils dropping points.

Especially keen on the result was former Cardiff youngster Aaron Ramsey, who went back to the club on loan in 2011.

He tweeted that Cardiff 'deserved something' from the game, vis a vis United did not 'deserve' to take all three points.

How right was he? Well apart from the crucial statistic of scoring the same number of goals as United, they had exactly the same amount of possession, each team sharing 50 per cent each.

United had 15 shots to Cardiff's 14, five on target to Cardiff's five. United completed 79 per cent of their passes to the home side's 76 per cent, but did have eight corners to two in their favour.

Largely however watching the game and looking at the statistics to bolster Ramsey's stance, it's hard to disagree that the newly promoted side were outclassed, and did not deserve at least a point.
