Daniel Sturridge came off the bench to break Everton hearts earlier today, ensuring Liverpool ended the match with a share of the spoils.
The Reds had taken an early lead through Philippe Coutinho, before Kevin Mirallas equalised just three minutes later.
Approaching the midway point of the first-half, Luis Suarez restored the visitors' lead with a free-kick. And it almost got even better for the Reds, but the returning Joe Allen missed a sitter from eight yards.
It looked like Liverpool would be made to pay for their wastefulness as Romelu Lukaku netted twice in 10 minutes to put Everton 3-2 ahead. And with the clock ticking down, it appeared Everton would finish the day level on points with their fierce rivals.
But Sturridge had other ideas, heading home with less than a minute of normal-time remaining.
The result means Liverpool remain second in the Premier League, a point behind Arsenal having played a game more, while Everton are currently fifth.
