Arsenal midfielder's progress sees him named among the world's best.
Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey has been one of the stars of the season, not just at home but internationally too.
His winner against Borussia Dortmund helped put his name on the map in the Champions League, along with his superb goal against Liverpool, a match screened around the world.
He won't be in Brazil next summer, unless he has bought a ticket, with Wales falling dismally short in World Cup qualification.
Spanish newspaper Marca have this Friday named, like so many, their selected XI of the very best players who won't be playing at the World Cup in 2014, naming it as their 'All-Star side'.
And you guessed it, Aaron Ramsey's name features.
Here are the selections: Cech, Alaba, Vidic, Ivanovic, Arda Turan, Hamsik, Ramsey, Bale, Vucinic, Lewandowski, Ibrahimovic.
It may seems quite a small thing, but ask yourself this - 12 months ago would Ramsey have stood a chance of being selected in such an XI?
It says so much about his superb season to date, where he is Arsenal's top scorer so far, that he does not look out of place among such company.
