A lot was said early on in the season regarding Mark Hughes potentially having a positive effect on Stoke City and their players, but it certainly has not been evident over the past few weeks, winless in their last five.

They face a recently resurgent Sunderland this weekend, a game which if the Black Cats win they can start really pulling away from the relegation mire.

West Ham find themselves right in there, struggling for goals all season and facing cross-city rivals Chelsea this weekend, who have the joint fifth-best form in the Premier League.

Swansea's form should also be alarmist, while they are holding their own in the Europa League, just one win in six games is among the very worst in the Premier League, and has seen them slip out of the top half of the table and into 13th, but just two points above Fulham who sit in 18th. They host Fulham this weekend and will be desperate to turn it around. A loss could change the perspective at the club quite dramatically.

Crystal Palace rooted to the bottom with one point from six games is no surprise, and until they get their managerial situation sorted out it is hard to see a way out of trouble.
