Manchester City's key five remaining fixtures in 2013

Manuel Pellegrini's side would sit in the Premier League top four but for their away form, but their home fixtures left this year are a tougher prospect.

Only win one on the road in the league is not good news for City fans. The better news is that they've qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League. But what stands in their way in the league that could keep them out of the title hunt?

Tottenham (H) 24th November – It starts with a game against Andre Villas Boas’ Spurs who aren’t firing on all cylinders at the moment but have the quality to come away with a point or more. City will have to be at the top of their game to get the win.

Swansea (H) 1st December – The Swans are another side who on their day are capable of causing an upset and Michael Laudrup will fancy his chances of making things tough for the home side and hitting them on the counter attack.

Southampton (A) 7th December – Who would have thought that Saints would be sitting five places above City in November? That may not be the case by the time the two teams meet but after City’s defeat at St Mary’s last season, Mauricio Pochettino will have no worries or doubts as to whether his side could do it again.

Arsenal (H) 14th December – A mouth-watering clash between two free scoring sides. The current leaders have already been beaten by the red half of Manchester and won’t want to repeat it on the blue side.

Liverpool (H) 26th December – Brendan Rodgers brings his side to the Etihad knowing they were unfortunate to have come away the previous season with just a point. This is a better Reds side this season and it would be no surprise if they come away with more this time around.
