VIDEO: All five Brazil goals from their friendly win over Honduras

Brazil Football Lineup

Brazil smash five past Honduras in Miami victory, with Chelsea and Tottenham well represented.

With just a handful of matches remaining before Brazil host the 2014 World Cup, the five-times champions wasted no time in impressing during a 5-0 victory over already qualified Honduras in the US.

Chelsea playmaker Willian scored his first for his country in what is becoming a fiercly competitive squad, and Tottenham star Paulinho had a fine game, setting up two of the five goals and being voted man of the match.

Young forward Bernard opened the scoring for the World Cup Hosts, driving the ball over the goalkeeper to put Brazil 1-0 up by half time. But it was during a rampant second half that the Samba boys really showed their ability, smashing a further four past Honduras, and showing just why they are one of the favourites next summer.

Bayern defender Dante scored with a header to make it 2-0, before Maicon netted from a saved Paulinho volley. The Spurs midfielder, winning his 24th cap, played the full 90 minutes, and was involved in a lot of Brazil’s impressive forward drive.

Following Willian’s goal, a smart finish from inside the area, Tottenham target Hulk smashed in the fifth after some outrageous backheel approach play.

Chelsea players David Luiz and Oscar started the match, with Ramires joining from the bench during the second half. Lucas Leiva also continued his good season by winning his third cap this year, after going the whole of 2012 without an appearance.

Brazil next take on South American rivals Chile, so impressive against England on Friday, in Toronto on Tuesday, in what promises to be a much sterner test.
