Manchester City: Official top 3 Premier League players so far for 2013-14

Hard to deny Aguero, Toure and Silva those top three places

So many of the official Premier League EA Sports ratings seem to misrepresent a player's performances for his team this season, and publishing these figures has seen plenty of debate as to quite how EA Sports manage to pick the three that they do. However, for Manchester City, it looks like they're right on the money.

Top 3 players so far – Man City

Sergio Agüero

Alongside Luis Suarez, Sergio Aguero is very much the form striker in England right now. Managing to steer clear of the injuries that blighted his second season at the club, Aguero very much has the capabillity to top his 23 goal haul from his debut season. In fact, such is his form for the Citizens this year, it may well be the case that he and his fellow South American in Liverpool end up breaking the 30 goal barrier.

Yaya Touré

After enjoying his most explosive start to a Premier League season since he moved to Manchester, giant Ivorian Toure has cemented his reputation as one of the top attacking midfielders in the country, if not Europe. Forming a powerful new central midfield with new Brazilian signing Fernandinho, this part of the team will prove to be key if City are to overcome their recent indifferent form and ascend the league. Toure seems to be doing his part, alongside the majestic David Silva, he's just waiting for the rest of his midfield to catch up with him.

David Silva

David Silva is one of a number of elite players to feature in his side's top three players despite only appearing in a handful of fixtures. And like Luis Suarez, his appearance is as a result of performing to an outstanding level in each of the matches he has turned out. With Silva expected to miss several games over the next few weeks with a thigh injury, his absence could be a blow that continues to hamper City's tempermental start to the season.
