Considering Chelsea's apparent interest in AS Monaco striker Radamel Falcao, the costs involved in such a transfer, the £60m+ spent in the summer window, then rumours of a winter window triple bid concerning three fringe Blues isn't as far-fetched as it may first seem…
The Express are reporting that Arsenal remain an interested party in Demba Ba, who Chelsea insist is worth £15m, Paris Saint Germain meanwhile are reportedly keen on adding Juan Mata to their playing roster for a £40m fee and David Luiz could be Barcelona-bound (the Brazilian is regarded to be valued at £25m by transfermarkt.co.uk).
Combined, the moves would make Chelsea £80m richer, which would go some way in financing the transfer fee and salary package that Jose Mourinho would have to offer if he were to successfully entice Falcao to Stamford Bridge.
Elsewhere, Glenn Hoddle believes he has a long-term solution as to how Blues full back Ashley Cole and Everton blue Leighton Baines can both represent England simultaneously - play them together!
He told TalkSport: 'I’d play Baines in front of Cole. I think we lack a natural left-footer in the last third. I do believe Baines has got more ability than Cole in delivering balls in the last third so they could dovetail and Baines could fill in for Cole.
'I would have a look at that before we go into the World Cup, without a shadow of a doubt.'
