Italian paper La Gazzetta dello Sport has been talking up and talking down some of the new signings to arrive at the clubs of Serie A this summer.
Former Arsenal target Lucas Biglia, Chelsea loanee Wallace and former Manchester United trialist Adem Ljajic were all named on the flops list - but what about those who have been commended for their Italian career so far?
Obviously AS Roma signings dominate the headlines. The Giallorossi have been in surging form this campaign - which has seen Kevin Strootman, Morgan De Sanctis, Maicon, Mehdi Benatia and, of course, everyone’s favourite rejuvenated star Gervinho all put on the list for the best signings of the season.
We all know by now that the Gervinho who plays in Rome is some sort of imposter, a footballing talent most likely from another planet who has inhabited the body of the once useless Arsenal forward … a little bit like Space Jam just without Bill Murray.
The Ivorian has been sensational for Roma this term - and the £11.8 million Arsenal flop looks every bit like the talent expected when he arrived at The Emirates.
Undoubtedly the presence of his former Lille gaffer Rudi Garcia seems to be having a very positive effect on his performances and happiness - to the point where he was recently dubbed the ‘African Messi’ in a local newspaper.
But who else makes the list away from the Stadio Olimpico.
Well Inter Milan defender Hugo Campagnaro is present, as is former Manchester United, Manchester City and West Ham United striker Carlos Tevez and returning Milan hero Kaka.
Then there comes more Arsenal links.
Firstly you have Gonzalo Higuain, who joins Jose Callejon as Real Madrid-Napoli inductees.
The Argentine striker was of interest to Arsenal in the summer - but the wild Luis Suarez goose chase saw to the end of that.
Meanwhile the final name on the list is apparently one of the number one candidates to take over from a Gunners stalwart next summer.
Croatian international Sime Vrsaljko joined Genoa in the summer, and the right-back has been in such good form he has found himself linked with a move away already - with Arsenal considering him as a potential replacement for Bacary Sagna if the Frenchman does not sign a new deal to combat his expiring contract.
