The Daily Express has reported that Liverpool have beaten competition from Premier League rivals Arsenal and Manchester United to secure the signature of Derby County midfielder Will Hughes for a fee expected to be around £12m.
Two academy players have signed new contracts at the club. Cameron Brannagan who has starred frequently for the under 21 side has signed his first professional contract whilst Marc Pelosi has signed a new deal at the academy.
TalkSport are reporting that Liverpool are interested in signing Torino winger Alessio Cerci. Cerci will be in action at Craven Cottage tonight for Italy’s friendly against Nigeria with reports that several scouts from the Premier League could be sent to watch player. Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester United are also said to be interested in Cerci, who is believed to be valued at £12.5m.
Liverpool are also reported to be in a fight to land PSG’s Javier Pastore according to the Daily Star. The Reds along with Arsenal are believed to be interested according to the report but Roma are also keen on landing the 24-year-old midfielder on loan in January.
