Ex-Tottenham star Gareth Bale is loving life at Real Madrid.
After a slow injury-interrupted start to life at Real Madrid, Gareth Bale is coming good.
The Welshman has three goals and five assists in his last four games - showing signs he may come close to living up to the hype.
He admits playing at Real Madrid is actually easier than it was at Tottenham, and it is down to one man, Cristiano Ronaldo.
He told FAW website: "When you play with Cristiano, the best player in the world it is much easier. Playing with him and the rest of the team is huge for me and I'm enjoying it."
It's very hard to blame Bale for such comments, nor suggest he wanted to move to Madrid for an easy life. The challenge is more in playing alongside a player like Ronaldo, so he can better himself.
Those who have watched Bale turn heads at Tottenham especially over the past two seasons would not question whether he is capable of fitting into such a side.
Whether life really is easier, may be reflected in his end of season productivity. Last year at Spurs he scored 26 goals in all competitions and provided 15 assists.
He has a total of four goals and six assists for Real Madrid in total this campaign, but the way he is clicking into gear; if he can stay fit you wouldn't bet against him eclipsing his last season total.
