Gunners fan Piers Morgan trolls Arsenal player on Twitter

Known for his banter, if not biting, remarks to members of the football industry, Piers Morgan has messaged a playing member of the Arsenal community…

Arsenal-supporting media mogul Piers Morgan is known for his football-related wind-ups on social media, particularly when the object of his Twitter trolling is former Tottenham Hotspur chairman Lord Alan Sugar, or Manchester United stars such as Rio Ferdinand, Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie.

However, earlier this morning, Monday, November 18, the host of Piers Morgan Live! sent a message to one of Arsenal's own players… who?

It is no secret that one of the players most desperate to leave Emirates Stadium in the winter window - and even had an opportunity to exit during the summer market - is Nicklas Bendtner, a £5m-rated targetman who has found pitch-time limited this season due to the strong form enjoyed by first-choice striker Olivier Giroud.

Currently on international duty with Denmark, Bendtner was questioned who he'd most want to represent come the new year.

His response? 'Real Madrid or Barcelona,' he said, as quoted by Daily Mail.

He continued: 'It is the sport that is the most important. I'm going somewhere where I know I can be happy to play. With a team where I can score goals and preferably to win something. I do not want to sit on the bench and staring. I love playing lots of games.'

When Morgan got hold of the story, he messaged Bendtner directly…
