All the news and gossip from White Hart Lane over the past 48 hours.
Andros Townsend, who has recently established himself as a regular in the England and Tottenham ranks has been speaking about his desire to take his opportunity with both hands.
"First and foremost I need to play well and stay in the Spurs first team. I've got six or seven months to secure my seat on the plane. It's nice to be recognised all of a sudden, you work hard as a youngster to be in the limelight and I like it when people come along and ask for autographs and pictures, but you need to stick to normality as much as possible and not get carried away. I want to keep my focus and keep proving myself on the pitch.”
Spurs captain Michael Dawson believes that Tottenham can go all the way this season and win the Premier League - despite a recent dip in performance.
"Our expectations are high. There's no hiding at the start of the season. Our aim was to be in the top four. That hasn't changed. But we aim high and we believe that we have got the squad - and the quality in the dressing room - to go all the way."
Tottenham midfielder Mousa Dembele is being linked with a move away from Spurs this weekend. The Belgian is said to want more regular football to secure a place in the Belgium starting XI for next summer’s World Cup. Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Napoli are said to be interested.
"I cannot be satisfied with it; of course, I just want to play as many games.”
Another player being tentatively linked with a move away from White Hart Lane is £30 million record signing Erik Lamela.
The Argentine is being linked with a move to Galatasaray in the Argentine and Turkish media.
"Getting into a World Cup squad is based on merit and you have to play for your club. As a forward, if you are not getting the chances, it will be difficult.”
