Juventus have been linked with Luis Suarez before, indeed many of the world's top clubs have been due to the fact Suarez is an incredible talent. He looked set to leave Liverpool in the summer, but has now seemed to settle down and is enjoying his football in an in-form Liverpool side.
Brendan Rodgers was adamant in the summer that Liverpool would not sell the Uruguayan and they resisted the advances from Arsenal. Now Luis seems happier at Anfield and they have had one of their best starts to a season for a number of years, it would be ludicrous for them to even consider selling him now.
However The Express have reported that Juventus are planning a cheeky swap deal. It would involve Claudio Marchisio and Leonardo Bonucci being exchanged for Suarez. Liverpool are said to be interested in the Italian pair and that is why it has led to Juve' proposing this deal. Marchisio is valued at £25 million and Monaco are also said to be interested in signing the midfielder. Bonucci is valued at £15 million, making the value of the deal £40 million which would not be enough to convince Liverpool to sell.
I see it as a way of Juventus showing that their players are not for sale either. They have pretty much said "well if you like our two players then you will have to part with your best player in order to secure them." The 'Old Lady' know that Liverpool don't want to part with Suarez so they are sending out a warning showing that they have no intention of selling their players. An eventual deal is unlikely, and will now probably see Liverpool look elsewhere for reinforcements.
