Your eyes do not deceive you, this really is the case.
Reading the official announcement on the Yeovil Town website will have caused many to rub their eyes and question the legitimacy of the press release, but the search has begun.
Championship underdogs Yeovil Town, currently rooted to the bottom spot in the league, find themselves four points adrift. In the opening fifteen games of the current campaign, the Glovers have notched just nine points.
However, the west-country side are refusing to let that dampen their spirits. They hope that a sprinkle of girl power could bring success back to Huish Park.
The club are planning to launch a girl band, based on American pop group 'The Pussycat Dolls'. They cite the group as being a unique PR tool for the club, who will then release an official charity single.
Yeovil Town have reached an agreement with The Famous Company, who have worked with artists who have performed alongside stars such as Ed Sheeran, Rita Ora and Example.
The deal will see the girls release a charity single, with all funds going to Prostate Cancer UK. It is hoped that this will spark a national media campaign, exposing not only the band to the masses, but also Yeovil Town Football Club.
Adrian Hopper of Yeovil Town Football Club said, “Yeovil Town are delighted to get involved in this innovative new project. We feel sure the unique chance to have a girl band linking with us as a club will not only help to launch the group but also help to spread the word of Yeovil Town Football Club to a whole new section of the community whilst at the same time helping Charity from sales of the record."
Yeovil shocked English football when they came out victorious in the League One Play-Offs last season, defeating Brentford at Wembley Stadium.
Gary Johnson's men face an uphill struggle to remain in the Championship, with the smallest budget in the league, as well as having lost six of their last ten league fixtures.
Auditions for the band will commence on Wednesday 4th December at 7pm.
