Five youngsters worth watching from La Liga

Isco

Real Madrid, Barcelona, Real Sociedad, Atletico Madrid and Athletic Bilbao stars all feature.

Any young player rising up through the ranks in Spain definitely needs to have a superb technique and effect from a very early age to grab some attention in a league dominated by those massive sides.

Here are five youngsters worth watching based on their La Liga performances so far.

Marc Bartra (Barcelona)

The 22-year-old defender has really turned his form around and made himself an important player for Barcelona this season.

He was strongly linked with moves to Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool last summer but his goal and assist from five starts and two sub appearances in the Spanish league this season have given him the confidence to push on.

Isco (Real Madrid)

The former Malaga man is a player that Manchester City were close to signing last summer before he decided to opt for a move to Real Madrid.

The 21-year-old finds himself out of the side at the moment but he’s a very talented, forward thinking playmaker. He’s scored four goals in the league so far this season and definitely has the technique and quality to improve on his one assist.

Koke (Atletico Madrid)

Atletico Madrid have had a great start to the season and Koke has played a big part helping them reach second place just three points behind Barcelona.

Koke can play anywhere across the Atletico Madrid midfield and his seven assists in the league shows he’s making the right decisions once he gets into the final third and puts the opposition onto the back foot.

Antoine Griezmann (Real Sociedad)

Manchester United fans will know all about this 22-year-old wide midfielder.

Griezmann has been linked with a move to Old Trafford after a stunning start to the season, which has seen him score eight goals in ten appearances for the club.

Sociedad have only scored 19 goals overall in the league so far.

Aymeric Laporte (Athletic Bilbao)

This 19-year-old can play in central defence or over on the left hand side.

He’s made 12 starts and has come off the bench once for the club, grabbing a single goal for the team.

He’s a very calm and composed defender to watch with a passing success rate of just under 80% and he’s winning 2.6 aerial duels per game which shows strength.
