Jose Mourinho was the talking point in after the international friendly between the two World Cup underdogs – who was he watching?
Jose Mourinho was spotted in the stands of the King Baudouin Stadium, which sparked rumours of possible transfer target(s) being looked at.
The obvious answer would be the Portuguese manager was over-watching Chelsea stars Eden Hazard and Kevin De Bruyne who both started the game and Lakaku and Courtois who were on the bench, but the game was full to the brim of potential transfer targets for the Chelsea manager.
After the game match winner and potential target Radamel Falcao commented on both the game and his future:
On the 2-0 win against Belgium the Monaco striker told Belgian television channel RTL:
‘’This is a preparation step, we must improve, but it was a good match.’’
When asked about their ambitions for the World Cup he didn’t set any expectation, announcing:
‘’We take it game by game, it does not set unrealistic ambition."
The World Class striker was also asked on a possible move to Chelsea, following the appearance of Mourinho in the stand, with a smile the striker said:
‘’I don’t think of Chelsea, I’m very good at Monaco for the moment.’’
It may sound speculative from me, but sounds like the former Atletico man is leaving the door open to a potential approach from the West London club.
There is a good chance that it wasn’t just Falcao the Chelsea manager was watching, with rumours to Witsel, Benteke and Martinez also.
