Arsenal latest: Cazorla 'best I've played against' and Bendtner wants 'to get away'

Cazorla Arsenal Debut

All the latest news and gossip from the past 24 hours at The Emirates.

Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner has made it clear once again he would like to leave the club as soon as possible. The striker was out of contention with the club last season, and the season before - but with a striker crisis he was called back in to the fold for the start of the campaign.

However he wants an exit:

"I want to get away from Arsenal. Whether it is in the winter, we must wait and see. I will make my decision depending on where the greatest sporting challenge lies. Finances, in this context, mean very little to me. I've been playing football since I was four years old and back then it was for the love of the sport. It is for the love of the sport that I play today as well."

It comes after his national team coach Morten Olsen implored him to make a move.

Adam Lallana, who will be making his debut for England seniors this evening against Chile at Wembley, has been speaking about the best player he has played against - and it is an Arsenal player.

The 25-year-old Southampton star was speaking about Santi Cazorla in the 6-1 thrashing that The Gunners handed out last season at The Emirates:

"The best player I've played against was easily Santi Cazorla at Arsenal. We played them early last season, and lost 6-1. It was a technical masterclass from him.”

Arsenal left-back Nacho Monreal believes that moving to the Premier League has increased his World Cup chances.

Speaking to Marca he insisted that the move only improved his game:

"I think so yes. I was at Malaga for 18 months and I grew a lot as a player. The move to the Premier League is a jump in quality and a jump forward. I think being part of a team like Arsenal helps."

Arsenal are after 23-year-old Bosnian Edin Visca. He is currently playing for Istanbul BB and scouts have reportedly been checking him out, according to the player himself:

"Arsene Wenger has sent scouts to observe my games, this has motivated me and helped me get into the national team.’’
