Could Moyes replace Manchester United striker with fellow countryman?

With Javier Hernandez possibly leaving Old Trafford, his former Mexican strike partner and a previous target of Sir Alex Ferguson could join the champions.

A move away from Manchester for Chicarito continues to be rumoured with the likes of Tottenham and Arsenal being linked. If it were to happen then David Moyes could find a ready made replacement in the same international side!

Oribe Peralta was Mexico's hero in last year's Olympics, scoring both goals at Wembley in a 2-0 win over Brazil to give them the gold medal and he was back in the goals this evening.

The Mexicans are having to rely on a play-off against New Zealand to qualify for next year's World Cup and have brought in coach Miguel Herrera to get them to Brazil. Herrera left all Europe-based players out of the squad, meaning that Hernandez missed out but Peralta scored twice in a 5-1 first-leg win at the Azteca Stadium.

Peralta was a previous target of the now retired Sir Alex Ferguson after his display in the Olympics and he may take the eye of Moyes after scoring his eleventh and twelfth goals for his country against the All Whites including a fantastic header that can be seen in the video below.

Could he replace Hernandez at United?
