Chile will be without Juventus star Arturo Vidal for their visit to Wembley, much to the gifted 26-year-old's disappointment.
Vidal has been one of the Bianconeri's outstanding players this season with five Serie A goals to his name and has played a crucial role in Juve's blossoming Scudetto challenge.
But a thigh injury suffered during Juventus' 3-0 triumph over Napoli has ruled Vidal out of Chile's forthcoming friendlies with England and Brazil.
While there were initial fears that the injury could be a long-term problem, it now looks to be less serious but will keep Vidal out for Wembley.
"I'm really sad to miss these two important games," Tuttojuve.com reports Vidal as saying. "I'm just hoping to recover as quickly as possible in time for Juventus' first game after the international break.
"The games against England and Brazil really count as they will help the squad get into shape for the World Cup next year.
"I would have liked to take part in these fixtures as coach Jorge Sampaoli is creating a team to be ready to Brazil."
England's chances of beating Chile will be given a massive boost by the absence of Vidal.
