England’s under-21s face homes matches against Finland and San Marino tomorrow and next Tuesday as Gareth Southgate’s side look to take two steps closer to qualifying for the European Under-21 Championship.
Wilfried Zaha is a key part of the squad Southgate has assembled ahead of the back-to-back games and the good news is that he’s in fine form, with a stunning effort during training with the side.
It will give him confidence because so far at United, he’s had a frustrating season.
Zaha has made just one start in the League Cup with his only other appearance coming in the Community Shield before the start of the season, which has led to the idea that he could be loaned out this January.
However, if he’s producing similar skills in training with Manchester United, David Moyes may be forced into a re-think.
With England sitting at the top of Group 1 in qualifying, there is every chance they are going to seal their place quickly in the 2015 tournament to be held in the Czech Republic.
