Chelsea's Juan Mata on 'different experiences' and why fans shouldn't worry

Chelsea's Juan Mata has been talking while on international break, but Chelsea fans shouldn't necessarily be worried regarding his future.

A Juan Mata quote was doing the rounds on Twitter on Wednesday evening where he discusses the 'importance of different experiences' in football.

Quite alarming, on the face of it - if that section of his quote is taken alone of course and misrepresented.

The star playmaker's future has been open to speculation ever since Jose Mourinho began leaving him out of the Chelsea side, preferring Oscar as a starter instead.

Here's what he actually said, speaking to SkySports: "It is marvellous to play in England and I have felt the difference since the first day.

"I think it is important to grow as a player by experiencing different types of football."

It's obvious Mata does not regret his decision to move on from Valencia two years ago, where he has gone onto win the Champions League, Europa League and FA Cup, also maintaining a position on the edge of the Spain squad.

The context of his comments was that he was praising the 'very good' England international team, even arguing they can win the World Cup.

Fans should likely take his words that he wants to continue playing in England because the experience has been very good for him so far, and he seems very happy.

Alternately, you could also argue he would not think twice about switching to another country if a serious offer presented itself in January.

Jose Mourinho has always maintained Mata will be staying around, despite talk of big money bids, so we would hazard a guess towards the Spaniard sticking around.

Just, if you see his second quote line floating around, make sure you also read the first one too.
