Which QPR player is only training a few days a week?

Andy Johnson being nursed back to injury by Rangers manager.

QPR manager Harry Redknapp has revealed that Andy Johnson is only training a couple of days a week as the striker works his way back to full fitness.

Johnson injured his knee in QPR’s game against Leeds United earlier in the season, and only recently returned to action for the games against Wigan Athletic and Reading.

Johnson, who has also played for CrystalPalace and Everton, is being effectively wrapped in cotton wool by Redknapp.

“He trains a couple of days a week and then another couple he doesn’t train,” said Redknapp. “We have to nurse him through a bit.

“But Charlie [Austin] has been good for us, and with the system that we play that has suited us fine.”
