Bayern Munich star says Chelsea's Hazard is 'grumpy' and can be 'a bit lazy'

Daniel van Buyten has been cheekily talking about his international team-mates, including those of Everton, Aston Villa, Manchester City and Chelsea.

It is international week, and one of the great things about all the different footballers from around the world gathering together to play for their home country is some of the banter that doesn’t usually get shared during the everyday domestic league life.

But when players from various teams get together across the world, the odd interesting story does get shared.

One nation where hysteria for their national side is certainly running high is Belgium - where a motley crew of class players are dreaming big ahead of Brazil next summer.

They face Colombia on Thursday in an international friendly and many a Premier League star will be expected to feature. Simon Mignolet, Jan Vertonghen, Kevin Mirallas, Romelu Lukaku and Christian Benteke - it is an endless list.

Another is of course Eden Hazard, and today a former Premier League player has revealed something about the player.

Bayern Munich star Daniel van Buyten has been speaking to Belgian site RTBF about some of the members of his national team - including a few of the Premier League stars.

When it comes to Eden Hazard he stated:

From time to time a little grumpy and occasionally a bit lazy but he has qualities "

He said it with a wry smile on his face, so the statement was a little bit of a cheeky slight on his team-mate. But maybe that is why he booted a ball-boy last season in one of those bizarre football moments that will live long in the memory.

Meanwhile Romelu Lukaku, Marouane Fellaini, Kevin Mirallas and Christian Benteke also got trolled slightly by the amused central defender.

Fellaini is also ‘grumpy’ while Lukaku is ‘easily distracted’. Mirallas is the funny guy, and the darling of the group, while Benteke is described as ‘a little shy’ - the definition of a gentle giant.

When it comes to Kompany however he had just one word - ‘seriousness’.
