This weekend saw Arsenal suffer their first Premier League defeat since the opening day debacle v Aston Villa - as Manchester United played a stifling game of football that saw them run out 1-0 victors at Old Trafford.
But the pre-match preparations at The Emirates were not exactly ideal, as the club were struck down by a bug in the lead up to the game. Per Mertesacker and Tomas Rosicky were too ill to even take part in the game - while it has now been confirmed that Mesut Ozil was also suffering with the same illness.
Meanwhile one more Arsenal star is now on the sick list - striker Nicklas Bendtner.
Questions were asked when he was not in attendance at the Danish Football Awards last night, and it has now been confirmed that the Dane is in affective quarantine from the rest of the first-team due to bringing the illness with him to Denmark.
The Danish national team face Norway on Friday at the Messecenter Herning, and have been training in Silkeborg ahead of the fixture.
But while everybody else jumped on the national team coach, Bendtner was driven in a private car so as to not infect the rest of his team-mates with this clearly very catching bug.
Denmark have a long standing rivalry with Norway, so despite this games friendly status a win is certainly expected among the general public in Denmark. Therefore national coach Morten Olsen knows he will need his best possible team on display in the game - which means ensuring nobody else picks up the bug.
He also has a duty of care to the other players present and their respective club teams to keep them healthy.
So we can just see Bendtner now, surrounded by men in white coats and gas masks being sprayed down with water and antibiotic spray like in a zombie film.
But Arsenal fans are probably glad it is him and not Olivier Giroud who has picked up the disease.
