Angelo Henriquez continued his impressive form for Real Zaragoza on Saturday, raising his goal tally with a strike against Numancia.
Angelo Henriquez is receiving rave reviews in Spain due to impressive performances for Segunda Division side Real Zaragoza.
The Manchester United loanee has moved to the continent for the chance to get regular first-team football in Europe, and seems to be settling into life at La Romareda with aplomb.
Despite his side being beaten 2-1 by Numancia on Saturday, the Chilean teenager rifled home a stunning volley, as can be seen at 1:50 of this video.
The effort is the United star’s fifth in nine games for the Spaniards, with the former Universidad De Chile forward being likened to David Villa in Spain for his skill, speed and eye for goal.
Old Trafford fans should be starting to get excited about the prospect of Henriquez and his future place in the United team.
His track record of scoring goals in his fledgling career to date has been nothing short of phenomenal, with the star also being compared to famous countryman Alexi Sanchez.
Eleven goals in 17 matches for Universidad was enough to convince the Red Devils to bring the youngster to England last year, but Henriquez has also been lethal at national age-grade level.
He played 17 times for Chile under-20’s last year, scoring an incredible 21 goals along the way and forcing his way into the South American nation’s senior side.
Three caps and two goals in the senior side add to the youngster’s already impressive scoring record, despite him only being 19.
David Moyes will be keen for Henriquez to continue to play regularly for the Aragon-based side, with the teenager seemingly suiting the European style of play.
With no issues over work permits to consider currently, Henriquez could well force his way into the United first-team squad next season if he continues his rich vein of scoring form.
