Ramires defends himself against dive accusations, paper says Chelsea ready to sell defender

David Luiz

A round up of key news stories about Chelsea this morning.

Chelsea star Ramires has insisted that he never dives to try and win fouls.

The midfielder went down in injury time in yesterday’s match against West Brom, which won the Blues a penalty and allowed them to equalise.

“I've never been one to simulate a foul from a player, let alone when I have the opportunity to score a goal,” he told Lance!

The Daily Mail has suggested that Chelsea are now ready to listen to offers for Brazilian defender David Luiz.

Luiz’ aggressive and flamboyant style of defender contradicts the efficient way that Jose Mourinho likes his sides to play football.

However, Chelsea turned down two offers for the player from Barcelona last summer, thought to be worth up to £35 million.

FC Schalke teenager Max Meyer says he’s delighted to be linked with a high profile move away from the German club.

The teenager has been reported as a possible transfer target for Chelsea, with interest also thought to be coming from Liverpool.

“I'm delighted that I'm so popular but I have only seen it in the newspaper... my agent is responsible (for dealing with that)” he told Der Westen.
